Somewhere your child sits down at 8:30 and starts without a negotiation. Somewhere there’s a table of other kids their age doing the same thing. Somewhere you get to stop being the teacher, the principal and the lunch lady all before 10am.

You chose it, you keep it, you set the pace. We don’t replace what’s already working. We give it a room, a rhythm, and people who care how it’s going.

A room full of children and screens is a computer lab. What makes Roots work is the grown-up walking between the tables.
Our guides don’t lecture, and they don’t replace the curriculum you chose. They notice. They see the child who has been stuck on the same problem for eleven minutes, the one racing ahead and getting careless, and the one who needs someone to pull up a chair before they’ll try again.
Your child should never be the only person in the room trying to work out what comes next.

Bring your curriculum
Your child keeps the online program you already trust. You stay in control of what they learn and how fast. Haven’t chosen one yet? We’ll walk you through the options that work well in our room.
Pick your days
Three mornings a week, or five. Change plans between semesters if your family’s rhythm changes.
Show up
We handle the room, the routine, the rhythm and the enrichment. You handle pickup.

Everything here is sized so your child is known, not managed.

Never more than twelve children per guide. That number is a limit, not an average.
Two adults, always
There are two adults present at all times. No exceptions, no gaps, no single-adult mornings.
K through 6, together
Mixed ages in one room. Younger kids stretch toward what they see. Older kids lead, explain, and get better at their own work by teaching it.
When it’s full, it’s full
We’re capping enrollment at the number the room can actually hold well. We would rather turn families away than crowd the ones who are here.
The part of school that usually gets cut first.
Every morning ends with an Enrichment Circle. They rotate weekly and they’re included in both plans, not sold back to you as an extra.
Arts
Hands in paint, clay, paper and thread. Making something that didn’t exist at 8:30.
Storytelling and Public Speaking
Standing up, being heard, holding a room. The skill that shows up in every job your child will ever have.
Movement
Bodies out of chairs. Games, coordination, working out the wiggles that four hours of screen time puts in.
Add what fits your family. Skip what doesn’t.
Roots is open to every family in Fort Bend County. Add-ons are always opt-in, and nothing in the core morning is held back for them.
Field Trips
A handful per year. Optional every time, priced per trip, announced early enough to plan around.

We’re taking 20 founding families for our opening year. It’s not a marketing tier, it’s the group that shapes what this place actually becomes.
Apply for a Founding Family spot- Your rate is locked for two full years, whatever tuition does after that

Roots is a learning center for children who are educated at home. Your child stays enrolled in whatever curriculum program you’ve chosen. We’re the room they do it in, with guides and friends.
No. You do. That’s the point. We’ll happily talk through what works well here if you’re still deciding, but the choice and the account stay yours.
Then they work at their level. Nobody at Roots is waiting for the rest of a class to catch up or being dragged along behind one. That’s the single biggest advantage of this model.
Kindergarten through 6th grade.
A device, headphones, a water bottle and a snack. We’ll send a short list before the first day.
They’re the adults who run the room: background checked before they ever meet your child, trained in how this model works, and never fewer than two in the room. They don’t lecture and they don’t replace your curriculum. They notice how your child’s morning is actually going.
Yes, and we’d rather you did than guess from a website. Apply or join the interest list and we’ll set up a conversation. Founding families will be the first ones invited in once the space is ready.
We read every application, then invite you and your child in for a visit and a conversation. If it’s a fit both ways, we send an enrollment agreement. The whole thing usually takes about two weeks.
